NOVEMBER 2025

Greetings Book Artists,

The year has flown by and the NBG Annual Meeting is close at hand! This will be our last program meeting of the year. I am looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. This exciting event will include our 4th Annual Tiny Book Party, Bookmakers Auction, and will feature a bookmaking activity by Katie Sanders. We will also elect new officers and welcome new board members. You will find lots more information and all the details about the Annual Meeting below. This will be a great opportunity for you to RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP for 2026! Please bring cash or check.

We continue to have Open Studio on Wednesdays from noon - 2:00pm. Come check out a book from the library or return books, purchase supplies from Paper Birches, use the paper cutters or just come for a visit and have your bookmaking questions or dilemmas answered.

Thank You for being involved and interested in the Northwoods Book Arts Guild.

In-person at NBG Studio

Members $120  Guests: $150

All skill levels welcome

Designed to hold ephemera, Hedi Kyle calls this structure her Storage Book. Its framed, window-like pages are made of double layers of mylar which hold their contents in place so that both fronts and backs are visible. The central images of the entire text block form an overlapping, composite image when the book is opened and seen as a codex structure. When the structure is fanned opened around its spine, the images magically become individual, floating compositions. Soft covers with attached title plate on the front and colophon inside the back complete the structure.
