NBG Workshop

Buttonhole Stitch Softcover Book with Rebecca Morse

Saturday, October 25, 2025, 10am - 3pm

In-person at NBG Studio

Members $100. Guests $125

MATERIALS FEE: $25

All Skill Levels Welcome!

In this 5-hour class participants will learn to construct and stitch a softcover buttonhole stitch book.  This is a wonderful structure for beginners as well as advanced book binders as it provides a short project completion time.  We’ll use decorative paper for our covers backed with Canson Mi-teintes.  Our textblock is Strathmore 400 Drawing Paper.  Once comfortable with the buttonhole stitch, the sky is the limit with the structure--try book cloth or heavier paper for the cover and include a heavier text block for watercolor or other wet/dry media.  Construct a window.  If you’ve shied away from Coptic or other complex book structures because of the practice and preciseness involved, this is your chance to shine!
