Toy Drive

This year's Toy Drive will run from 

November 12th to December 14th, 2024.


Donations are needed for newborn through youth age 16. All donations (gifts or monetary) are sincerely appreciated. Please ensure any gifts are new and unwrapped. Monetary donations can be made at the Municipal Office or online.


Donations can be dropped off in our boxes placed at businesses throughout the community.

This year you can submit donations online and receive your tax receipt immediately. Tax receipts available for donations over $10.

Gift Ordering and Distribution


Gifts will be sorted and distributed to the Peninsula Food Banks in Lion's Head and Tobermory.


Holiday Hamper orders are due by December 1. To request toys email lhdfoodbank@gmail.com or call/text 519-378-8842. Names of families are kept confidential.

Tobermory Pickleball Club Welcomes New Members!

We're a member-run, non-profit club playing at the Tobermory Community Centre (7420 Highway 6, Tobermory ON).


We welcome members of all abilities, from beginner to advanced. Our aim is to deliver fun, fair, and safe recreational and competitive programs for youth, and adults. We will also offer guidance and basic coaching to new players and first-time drop-ins.

Winter Hours


Tuesday: 9:00am - 12:00pm & 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Thursday: 1:00pm - 4:00pm & 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Sunday: 9:00am - 12:00pm

Bruce County Public Library Events

Bruce County Public Library's Book Mobile


Patrons can expect a collection of books, DVDs, and educational materials, including tech kits. The Bookmobile is also outfitted with a free Wi-Fi hub. The Bookmobile staff are dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming space and assisting patrons of all ages

Community Bulletin Board

Thank you to all who were able to attend our Christmas Market this year. We 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆 your support of our local food producers, farm producers and artisans! We hope you enjoyed yourself and had a lovely day out (or two for those who came back on Sunday!). Thank you also for your donation of a non-perishable food item which has already been delivered to the Lion's Head and District Food Bank. Lion's Head Farmers' Market Gift Certificates are available for purchase and make great Christmas gifts as they are redeemable at all our vendors. Connect via FB messenger to arrange to purchase one. Again, thank you for your support of our local Market.

Voter Registration for Provincial and Municipal Elections

To maintain your information for provincial, municipal, district social services administration board and school board elections in Ontario, please go www.registertovoteon.ca to register and/or ensure your information is correct. You will have to upload identification ID, and a drivers license is preferred.

Municipal Updates

Office Closure


The Municipal Administration Office will be closed for the holidays starting

Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at noon.


Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.


A dropbox is located at the front of the building for your convenience.

Curbside Collection & Landfill Hours


Curbside collection will remain the same throughout the holidays.

Christmas Tree Disposal


Christmas trees are accepted at landfill locations. Please remove all decorations before dropping off.

Winter Parking Restrictions Begin Nov. 1

Winter parking restrictions are necessary to ensure snow removal operations can be completed safely and effectively.


On-street parking is strictly prohibited between the hours of 2:00 am and 7:00 am from November 1 to April 30.
