Community Bulletin Board

October 6th to 12th is Fire Prevention Week and this year’s theme is “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work for You!”

Northern Bruce Peninsula Fire & Emergency Services reminds everyone to do the following:

  • Install smoke alarms outside each separate sleeping area (like a hallway), and on each level (including the basement) of the home.
  • Make sure smoke alarms meet the needs of all family members, including those with sensory or physical disabilities.
  • Test smoke alarms at least once a month by pushing the test button.
  • Replace batteries in smoke alarms during time changes twice per year.
  • Replace all smoke alarms when they are 10 years old or don’t respond when tested.

The Municipality's annual Community Grants Program is designed to provide limited funding for projects that enhance and enrich the community. Council makes all funding decisions based on local needs and priorities in keeping with Council's approved budget, strategic goals and objectives.

The 2024 deadline for submissions is October 31st, 2024 at 4:30pm. All applications must be submitted via the online application.
