SNAP-Ed is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture-Food and Nutrition Service and works in collaboration with the NC Department of Health and Humans Services, Division of Social Services.
Well, it is almost a new year and a new beginning for the garden. In the months of January and February the weather is cooler and there is less work to be done. It is a great time to plan for the upcoming spring. As gardeners, there are steps that we can take to improve the environment and ecosystems that surround us. Consider adopting one or more of these resolutions for your garden in the New Year.

Farmers have always had their share of challenges, but the number and severity of challenges in 2018 was unimaginable. Continued low commodity prices, rising input costs, labor issues, increasing regulations and unprecedented weather events have caused many farmers to be uncertain about their future.
This morning program will provide pest management information concentrating in turfgrass areas and the surrounds. The information will concentrate on commercial and residential landscapes but is also applicable to other managed turfgrass areas.
