ATTENTION: TRANSITION TO NEW COMPREHENSIVE INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT CONTRACTOR (KEPRO) PUT ON HOLD - CONTINUE TO USE LIBERTY HEALTHCARE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
March 15, 2020
This past week, the NC Senior Living Association asked the Division of Health Benefits (NC Medicaid) to suspend the implementation of KEPRO (who was to begin conducting Medicaid PCS assessments 4/1/2020) as the new Comprehensive Independent Assessment Entity (CIAE) in order to avoid possible delays in PCS payments to providers, particularly during the COVID-19 outbreak.
As a result,
NC Medicaid has instructed all PCS providers to continue to use Liberty HealthCare of North Carolina for all PCS Requests until further notice.
NCSLA will keep providers informed when NC Medicaid transitions from Liberty HealthCare to KEPRO for PCS assessments; however, until such time, Liberty HealthCare will continue to conduct assessments.
