Meet North Carolina’s new Secretary for Information Technology (March 23)
Governor Cooper has named Jim Weaver (former CIO of the State of Washington and CTO for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania) as the next Secretary of the NC Dept. of IT and State CIO.
Jim has agreed to join NC TECH for a virtual session on March 23 at 3 PM where he'll introduce himself, share a bit about his background, his approach to working with private sector business partners, and the priorities / initiatives that he and the Administration have for IT deployment in state government.
Our Legislative Counsel (Ed Turlington and Drew Moretz of the Brooks Pierce law firm) will also provide a brief legislative update. And a special thank you to SAS, our meeting sponsor.
