The Office of the Employer Adviser has helped Ontario employers with their workplace safety and insurance claims and related costs since 1985.
They provide expert legal advice to any size employer about their WSIB issues and represent primarily employers who employ fewer than 100 workers.

Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) - March 12th @ 12:30pm to 1:30pm
This NEW webinar will explore occupational NIHL and the WSIB’s criteria for determining entitlement. The employer’s legal obligations will also be covered including best practices to manage NIHL claims. The WSIB is currently holding a public consultation on proposed changes to the NIHL policy. It’s important to understand the existing framework, and how changes may impact these claims. The current NIHL policy will continue to apply until a new policy is implemented. Managing WSIB Claims – Complimentary Webinar
Join the Niagara Construction Association for a complimentary one-hour virtual webinar on Managing WSIB Claims, taking place Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 pm. Facilitated by Ellaline Davies of Safety Works Consulting Inc., this session will provide practical guidance to help employers manage WSIB claims more effectively.

To ensure project success, contractors must be able to provide accurate and professional estimates of costing and materials. The Introduction to Construction Estimating course will provide learners with skills and knowledge related to estimating practices, and help them understand the importance of estimates as one of the key first steps in any construction job. The lesson modules cover a wide range of topics, with interactive activities based on real-life field situations to help reinforce the lessons.

Effective Work Planning for Crew Supervisors
Attendees will strengthen their skill (and value to their companies) by gaining a strong foundation in practical task planning. Working with hands-on, practical exercises, they work through the various elements needed to put together a complete activity plan for their crew. Course topics include calculating manpower needs, determining the materials and equipment required, building quality and safety into the plan and much more!
Course format:
Two 4-hour on-line (Zoom) sessions (~6.25 hours of instruction time) featuring instructor presentation, interactive group discussions, and practical group exercises. Frequent breaks and “stretch seconds” are included to help keep attendees alert and engaged.
Class sizes are limited to 16 attendees.
The course has been accredited by the Canadian Construction Association and counts as 2 Gold Seal education credits.

Mark Taylor, P.Eng. (Non-Practising), G.S.C. is a construction industry veteran with over 30 years of frontline experience. Through his extensive experience leading and guiding major projects for international contractors, Mark has developed proven systems and strategies to improve site efficiency and effectiveness.
