Dear NCA Families,

As we head into the last two very busy weeks of school, we look forward to celebrating another successful year. We hope that everyone can join us for our End-of-Year Celebration!

Date/Time: Friday, May 22 (Noon - 2:30 PM)

Location: NCA Athletic Field

Parking Map: to be provided soon

Event Purpose: to get ALL NCA stakeholders together for this FREE event, following the last day of school for our scholars. This event our way of saying "Thank You" to all parents, scholars and staff for a great school year!

Event Attractions:

Last Day of School Note: We will not have individual class parties on the last day of school (5/22), and will instead utilize this event to celebrate as an entire community - together. We are excited to celebrate the conclusion of this school year.

Scholar Dismissal Note:

For families attending the EOY Celebration, please pick-up your scholars at noon. Families can then walk over the field and enjoy the attractions together - in a carnival-type environment.

If your family will not be attending the EOY Celebration, we will run an early-dismissal for all pick-ups starting at 11:40 AM. There will be no BASE/childcare on Friday, May 22nd.

Schedule Change: Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict with the state testing, the Kindergarten Pinning Ceremony has been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 12th at 1:45PM.

8th Grade Award Ceremony

Our mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people....

The purpose of our K-12 classical education is to form young children into young adults of sound mind and strong character through a time-tested program emphasizing traditional learning, virtuous living, and civic responsibility.

Your eighth-grade child will soon be completing the second stage in the classical trivium (grammar, logic, and rhetoric). These scholars are moving out of the logic stage and into the rhetoric stage, that stage of classical education wherein all their prior learning comes together. While all skills are developed at all stages of the classical trivium, it is within this third stage that scholars learn to synthesize information to form and articulate their own opinions — opinions built upon the rules of learning and the factual foundations of each discipline (grammar), with rhetorical skills and sound reasoning (logic), and within the framework of truth, goodness, and beauty.

To encourage your child as s/he moves into this next stage, we ask that you write a special letter to be presented at an 8th-grade-only end of year ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2025, from 1:15 - 2:45 P.M. This letter is for your child’s eyes only. If you cannot attend the ceremony, please send your letter to the front office by noon on May 14th with your child’s first and last name on the outside of a sealed envelope. If you can attend Friday's ceremony, please note parent seating will begin at 1:05 P.M. on the 15th, and you can present the letter to your child yourself.

Luis Camacho

Layne Rachu

Our next Senior Spotlight is Luis Camacho.

Luis has studied at Naples Classical Academy for the past two years.

His favorite piece of literature from the NCA curriculum is "Moby Dick" by Herman Melville.

The most important thing that he has learned while attending NCA is that living by passion and desire is not living.

The virtue that he has most cultivated in his own life while at NCA is Perseverance.

After graduation, he plans to join the US Coast Guard, and hopes to become a Crew Chief.

Our next Senior Spotlight is Layne Rachu.

Layne has studied at Naples Classical Academy for the past five years.

His favorite piece of literature from the NCA curriculum is "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe.

The most important thing that he has learned while attending NCA is to trust the ones around with the knowledge and experience to guide you to best way in life.

The virtue that he has most cultivated in his own life while at NCA is Courtesy.

After graduation, he plans to work for the Florida Forest Service as a Forest Ranger/Wildland Firefighter, to fight fires and save nature.
