April 24, 2026

Dear NCA Families,

It was excellent to see our families attend the 9th-12th grade Poetry & Prose event on Thursday, as well as the 5th & 8th grade families for our Transition Night event on Thursday evening. Thank you to our upper school families for attending both events. We are now just 6 weeks away from the conclusion of this academic year - hard to believe, I know.

I have only a few updates for you this week, and please review the events calendar carefully - so that your family does not miss an event!

Our next Senior Spotlight is Maximo Hormaza.

Maximo has studied at Naples Classical Academy for the past four years.

His favorite piece of literature from the NCA curriculum is "Beowolf."

The most important thing that he has learned while attending NCA is to be able to convey a strong argument.

The virtue that he has most cultivated in his own life while at NCA is Self-Government.

After graduation, he plans to go study at FGCU to become a marine biologist.

This will be a private reception bringing together a select group of supporters, educators, and community leaders committed to advancing the pillars of a free society.

This evening will offer a closer look at the work of the Dissident Project and its growing partnership with Naples Classical Academy, highlighting how firsthand voices of freedom are shaping the next generation of American students.

The program will feature remarks from Iranian dissident Tahmineh Dehbozorgi, who will speak on the current situation in Iran and reflect on the enduring strength and global significance of American values. Leaders from Naples Classical Academy will also share brief remarks on the role of education in preserving these principles.

This reception is designed to provide an opportunity for meaningful conversation, connection, and a deeper understanding of how this work can expand.

Earlier in the day, Tahmineh will speak directly with students as part of the Dissident Project’s nationwide effort to bring the lived experiences of authoritarianism into American classrooms. The evening reception offers an opportunity to engage more deeply with that mission.

Please join us as we celebrate our student-athletes, coaches, and an incredible year of NCA Athletics at our annual Sports Banquet!

Date: Saturday, April 25th

Time: 6PM

Location: St. Agnes Church, Parish Hall

This special evening will honor the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our athletes throughout the season. We look forward to celebrating together with our NCA family and community. We hope to see you there!

Preserve those school memories forever.

Don't delay - order your yearbook today!

Upper School Scholar Opportunity

For children older than 13, we are offering a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) opportunity, where scholars can volunteer, assist staff, and gain leadership experience during our summer camp. Please note that only 4 CIT spots will be available per week. Interested families should contact Mr. Simpreux directly for more information.

**As of April 16th, the rate has increased to $220 per week.**

Note: Current NCA kindergarten scholars who have not yet turned 6 are eligible to attend. Future/non-NCA scholars must be at least age 6 to attend. Please reach out to Mr. SImpreux with any questions.

Looking to Volunteer during a School Event?

All parent/guardian volunteers must be pre-approved ANNUALLY prior to volunteering for any school events. If you were approved for a previous year, you must still re-apply for the current year. See more details on the quick and easy process linked below.

NCA Online Bookstore

Did you know that our book fair is year round? Please continue to use this link for purchasing books for family and friends to benefit the children and help us grow the classroom libraries (and eventually a school library!) Proceeds from the purchases will go back to our school when you set up your account and link it to Naples Classical.

How does the book fair benefit our school? Watch here.

Don't forget to follow the steps to sign up your child for a book fair account. Follow these steps here.
