April 3, 2026

Dear NCA Families,

It was a short but rewarding week at Naples Classical Academy. From the wonderful scholar presentations during Poetry and Prose to the senior scholars demonstrating mastery of literature during their senior thesis defenses - our scholars showcased their knowledge this week. Our upper school scholars had the opportunity to take part in a presentation about the founding of our nation and the electoral college from speaker Mr. Michael Maibach.

As we head into the final seven weeks of this school year, we have a few important announcements for all families:

2026-27 Re-Enrollment Deadline: April 15th

We are two short weeks away from the re-enrollment window closing for the upcoming school year. The re-enrollment process is less tedious than the new scholar enrollment process - which will begin on April 16th. If you plan to have re-enroll your child(ren), we strongly encourage you to complete the re-enrollment process. As a small way to show our appreciation for all families that will continue their child's classical education at NCA, we are providing Chick-fil-A lunches for re-enrolled scholars during our End-of-Year Family Celebration on May 22nd (12:30 - 2:30 PM). If you have any questions about re-enrollment at NCA, please contact our registrar, Mrs. Abney. Please use this link to complete the re-enrollment process.

BASE Program Policy

For all scholars that are not picked up by 3:30, following our dismissal process, they are automatically enrolled in our BASE afterschool program. In order to ensure our scholars safety and supervision, and this has been our policy for the entirety of the school year. There is a daily fee for drop-in scholars. Please ensure that if you arrive after 3:30, that you pick your child up from BASE. If you have any questions relating to BASE, please contact Mr. Simpreux.

NCA Summer Camp - Early Bird Registration Ends April 15th

We are excited to have our scholars join us for summer camp at NCA. Please see the camp details further down in the newsletter, and register on/before April 15th to get the $170.00 weekly fee rate. The rate will increase to $220.00 per week on April 16th. We have 8 great weeks of themed activities for your child - don't delay in registering!

Virtue of the Month: Honesty

"I will speak the truth and act truthfully a with myself and others."

As Thomas Jefferson noted, "honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom." We instill honesty as a virtue through scholars reading and discussing examples throughout literature of the deeds of our founders. Our founding fathers demonstrated the willingness to act truthfully for the betterment of masses, not simply for their own good. We encourage your family to discuss this virtue with your scholar/s.

In closing, I hope that your family enjoys meaningful time together over this long holiday weekend. We look forward to welcoming your family back to campus when classes resume on Tuesday, April 7th.

Sincerely,

Mr. Wester

Celebrating the Senior Class of 2026!

Our next Senior Spotlight is with Ashane Rajapakse.

Ashane has studied at Naples Classical Academy for the past semester.

His favorite novel from the NCA curriculum is "Crime and Punishment" by Dostoevsky.

The most important thing that he has learned while attending NCA is calculus, to help him advance in college.

The virtue that he has most cultivated in his own life while at NCA is Perseverance.

Beyond high school, he plans on attending either FGCU or FAU to study Engineering.

Upper School Scholar Opportunity

For children older than 13, we are offering a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) opportunity, where scholars can volunteer, assist staff, and gain leadership experience during our summer camp. Please note that only 4 CIT spots will be available per week. Interested families should contact Mr. Simpreux directly for more information.

Note: Current NCA kindergarten scholars who have not yet turned 6 are eligible to attend. Future/non-NCA scholars must be at least age 6 to attend. Please reach out to Mr. SImpreux with any questions.

Looking to Volunteer during a School Event?

All parent/guardian volunteers must be pre-approved ANNUALLY prior to volunteering for any school events. If you were approved for a previous year, you must still re-apply for the current year. See more details on the quick and easy process linked below.

Proceeds from the purchases will go back to our school when you set up your account and link it to Naples Classical.

How does the book fair benefit our school? Watch here.

Don't forget to follow the steps to sign up your child for a book fair account. Follow these steps here.
