Get to know Emily Stoddard! Emily is a single mother of three children: Shawn (9), Aubreanna (6), and Adam (2). Emily works as a medical assistant at a local hospital and will be the first person from her family to own a home! She has been working to build stability and strength for her and the kids for several years and feels like this is the next step to make her family stable. She is excited to provide a backyard for the kids to play. Since learning that Emily was approved for the program in January, Emily has worked hard and quickly to gain enough sweat equity hours to pick a lot and get on

The Otubu Family Home is nearing completion! We are down to just a few more tasks and the final punch list before we have the Dedication Ceremony and this family can begin to move in. McKinney ISD and Job Corp students have continued to be a strong volunteer help on this home as we come to the home stretch on construction. Great job by everyone who has worked on this home, as well as Atai and her family who have also been working weekly on the job site of their home. Home dedication is planned for Monday, April 23rd at 5:30 pm for this home.

With construction sites in full swing, we are passing out lots of water bottles these days. Plus summer heat will soon be back. If you could donate a case of water, you would be meeting a real need at this time. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Thank you!
