PA House members tour NCC training center

New Century Careers welcomed members of the SW PA Republican Delegation of the State House of Representatives on May 31.


Representatives Abby Major (R-60), Natalie Mihalek, (R-40), Robert Mercuri (R-28) and Timothy O'Neal (R-48) learned about NCC's pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs during a presentation by Neil Ashbaugh, NCC president and CEO.


Craig Waller, CEO of Rewyndr, explained the advantages of digitized training curriculum and the recently launched digitized curriculum of NCC's tuition-free Manufacturing 2000 program, accessible to trainees via a tablet as they work.


TRAK Machine Tools representatives demonstrated their cutting-edge equipment that introduces trainees to machines they may encounter in the workplace. NCC is TRAK's Pittsburgh Showroom for manufacturers.

City High students learn about machinist careers


NCC played host to 18 students from Pittsburgh's City Charter High School 

(City High) on May 16 to learn about career opportunities in manufacturing. The tour coincided with TRAK Pittsburgh Showroom Open House. So students not only witnessed Manufacturing 2000 trainees in action but also were wowed by the

state-of-the-art TRAK machines available at the NCC Training Center to introduce trainees to the technology they'll encounter in the workforce.
