Happy New Year! The second semester is in full swing, and things look a little different than they did just a few months ago.
We started the new semester by having students enter the renovated main entrance for the first time since last May. Seeing the student reactions to the new Tom Hoffman Alumni Hall and Commons was amazing! Students are found using the space at all hours and the staff are slowly settling in. We look forward to welcoming you through our new front doors soon.
We have had 58 students shadow this year and have nearly another dozen scheduled for the weeks to come. If your 8th grader is still undecided or you know an 8th grader who is, we would love the opportunity to host them on The Hill! Please contact me to set that up.
Attached you will find the broadcast that your child helped our Broadcast and Journalism team create during NCC's Open House last week. We have some future broadcasters on our hands!!

THOROUGHBREDS IN THE NEWS
A brief recap of the newsworthy things happening on "The Hill".
On December 19, 2025, Newport Central Catholic High School celebrated the opening of its newly renovated entrance and main lobby with a private blessing led by Most Reverend Bishop John Iffert, Bishop of Covington.
Tom Hoffman Alumni Hall and Commons has reimagined the school’s entrance and main lobby into a secure, accessible, and welcoming space for students, staff, alumni, and guests. The renovation is possible by a gift from the Hoffman family, in memory of Thomas Hoffman, NC Class of 1978.
