North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (the Agency) proposes to make a total of $4.5 million available for the 2020 Urgent Repair Program (URP20). Program funding enables recipient organizations to provide deferred, forgiven loans of up to $10,000 for emergency home repairs and modifications to very low-income owner-occupied homes.

Last month, the NCCAA's
Training & Technical Assistance
team hosted an HR Symposium, Motivational Interviewing Training, Poverty Simulation, virtual and online Board of Directors Training, as well as, monthly study sessions for a cohort of Certified Community Action Professionals (CCAP). We offer ongoing enrollment for web-based Head Start Family and Case Management Certifications.

More than 50 local community members came together last month and were able to speak with organizations in the Halifax county region to learn about health-related services. The NCCAA Community Health Fair was the first in a series of health events in the area.
The event hosted 11 vendors from the area that provided educational resources, HIV quick-testing, exercise instruction, domestic violence, mental health resources, and so much more.

for her outstanding support of the Helping Home Fund which has contributed to the energy efficiency of countless homes in NC. Lorrie was recently recognized at a meeting of the NCCAA Council of Executive Directors in Winston-Salem for her efforts and will be inducted into the next NCCAA Hall of Fame.
