A Word from the Director
Happy New Year, I hope our newsletter finds you all well!
Closing out 2019 and our 125
th
anniversary, I want to say thank you to all who helped make it special as our chamber has become incredibly vibrant and a welcoming place to belong!
2020 is off to a fantastic start as we have already rolled out our biggest event of the year, the 51
st
Annual Home & Product Show! Committee chairs Gary Cote and Rebecca Olesen have their team working diligently to make this one extra special as we are moving to a NEW LOCATION at our office home in Enfield Square! We are excited to already have a number a sponsors for the event, thank you USA Hauling & Recycling for returning as our Gold Sponsor, Rich’ Oil & Cabela’s have committed to being our Silver Sponsors, and Your CBD Store will be our Bronze Sponsor! We still have some Silver, Bronze, and Raffle Sponsors available for any who may be interested! We hope this show will bring a great energy to the community as spring approaches!
We have a lot of new ideas on the horizon for in the works for 2020. We hope to see you all soon and continue to be making an impact on business in our community!

- Old Country Banquets and Deli - Valentines Day Dinner & Dance: Saturday, February 8th at 6pm - 11:30pm. Enjoy a delicious 3 course dinner by candlelight with music from "Daniel Band". - Springfield Thunderbirds Give Back Night - ShopRite Partners in Caring: Come support ShopRite Partners in Caring Fundraiser Night! On February 23, 2020 the Springfield Thunderbirds Hockey team will be hosting a give back night for ShopRite Partners In Caring at the 5:05pm game. Tickets are $20 per person and $5 of every ticket sale will be donated to ShopRite Partners in Caring, which helps support the local food banks in our community. There is also a free post-game skate! (Skates not provided). Please note - tickets CANNOT be purchased day-of at the box office and must be purchased via the online link by 2/21/20. CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS!
- PodCamp Western Mass 2020 - Valley Venture Mentors: February 29th 9:00am - 4:00pm. PodCamp is an un-conference about social media and online networking. It is an open and collaborative event with discussions and interaction from attendees. Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join. Some sessions will be planned ahead of the event, but plenty of spaces will be open for the topics YOU want to discuss and learn. Tickets for the holiday sale are $45 to the general public through 1/1/20. Student tickets are $19 with an ID. All are encouraged to participate and/or present. You can participate by giving a presentation, demo, or joining in the session conversation, being on a panel/roundtable, or in other ways helping out on event day. - Asnuntuck Community College - Paint & Sip for Scholarships: Thursday, March 5th 6pm. Only $40. Learn to paint the playful image of "Hummingbird in on an authentic roofing slate tile (various sizes to choose from) or on a large 16x20 canvas. Instruction by Berkshire Pain and Sip. All painting materials, donation, snacks and 1 glass of wine included! Additional sips available for purchase. At Asnuntuck Community College Conference Center, 170 Elm Street, Enfield, CT. - Enfield Fourth of July Celebration - 15th Annual Winter Dinner Dance: Saturday, March 8th. 6pm The Enfield Fourth of July Town Celebration Committee invites you to their 15th Annual Winter Dance at the Old Country Banquet Facility at the Old Polish National Home, in the historic upstairs Wawel Hall. Located at 4 Alden Avenue in Enfield, the party will run from 6:00PM to Midnight on Saturday, March 7th. Dinner will be catered by The Old Country Banquet Caterers and music will be provided for your dancing and entertainment pleasure. Tickets to the event are $30 each and we ask that our guests BYOB.
