Our board members do a lot of amazing work behalf of our mission. We appreciate it, but we never expect it. That's why it was an extra special surprise when one of our former board members, who stepped away to focus on family concerns, recently made a very grand gesture.
Suzanne Seifert and Dick Russ had lunch with Ed Pavlish & his wife Pat Pavlish, who have been among NCCH's most generous donors. Seifert shared the annual residents picnic was coming up and that they wanted to expand it, because it's been so meaningful for residents who are sometimes homebound. It's a bright spot in their lives, and it's something NCCH loves doing. It's also a lot of work for the care providers to get them ready, loaded up in cars or vans, and bring the to and from the event. It's bit of a competition with the other demands these care professionals have. So, Pavlish offered an incentive.
He's generously providing a gift card for groceries to each of the providers that brings a resident to the NCCH annual picnic on August 20, 2017! While residents get their hearts filled with joy and their bellies filled with good picnic food, the providers will be able to later fill their own grocery baskets.
It' a thoughtful incentive and Seiffert couldn't be more thrilled. Especially because this event is going to be even more engaging and exciting for all. Seifert is planning a DJ, face painting, photo booths and more family friendly fun. Consider joining us on August 20, because it is going to be a fun filled, amazing day.
