The Flat Rock Development Team is keeping quite busy making connections and creating partnerships. It’s been wonderful for my colleague Rose and I to have churches open and inviting us to speak. We are reaching at least 6 churches a month, sometimes more. I was blessed to speak at Bucyrus UMC last Sunday as they kicked off our new Wall of Hope Fundraiser which for them will run through the month of November ending Thanksgiving weekend. It’s been exciting to get this up and running and after this one is complete it will be open for all EOC churches to offer to their congregation. If you would like more information please contact me. I’ve also been busy speaking for United Methodist Women’s Fall Gatherings which has brought me great joy.

At Flat Rock essential staff continues to do their best to keep themselves and those we serve safe which has been a struggle this time around. As many businesses are struggling with staff shortages, Flat Rock Homes is no different.

With all of this we continue to stay hopeful and know that God is faithful and watching over Flat Rock. We continue our outreach through our Facebook Restoring Hope Prayer Page which is growing its followers. We offer HOPE to followers of the page along with prayers for Flat Rock and others who request prayer. Occasionally Rose and I write reflective devotions that end in prayer. We would be happy to have you join us on Facebook.

Please remember that as one of two Church & Community Engagement Coordinators I am available to your District as a whole and individual churches as pulpit supply, facilitator of Spiritual Gifts and other faith based Retreats or one day workshops. If there’s a church or a group within a church in need of a facilitator or a speaker I’m willing and able.

Please find our October Faith Connections Newsletter HERE and Enjoy! I pray God’s blessings be upon the District Office Staff and the many pastors and parishioners throughout the district.

Gratefully,
Sherri
