“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”
EAST OHIO CONFERENCE
Boundaries Training
Saturday, August 27

2022 Boundaries training will be in person at the EOC Area Center on August 27 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The training is free but you will need to register on the Eventbrite page: https://Boundaries2022.eventbrite.com

A reminder that all clergy and pulpit supply need to attend the training once every four years. The district office has a list of those who attended trainings in 2019, 2020, and 2021. If you were in a training prior to 2019, then you are due for attendance at this session!
Disaster Response: Kentucky

For those seeking information on how to assist the people affected by the Kentucky floods, please check out the Disaster Response webpage https://www.eocumc.com/missions/disaster-response.html and the Kentucky Annual Conference webpage https://www.kyumc.org/2022-south-east-ky-flood-updates

ERT Teams
Right now, UMCOR is NOT ready to receive ERT teams from neighboring conferences. When they do put out a call for teams, word will go out via EOC to our ERT trained contacts and the Disaster Response Committee. There are a few upcoming long-term recovery trips to Kentucky, Detroit, and Lake Charles LA. Details for the Western Kentucky team are being worked out. You can find info on all mission trips online https://www.eocumc.com/missions/mission-trips.html
UMCOR Kits
If you want to donate UMCOR cleaning kits (aka flood buckets) you will need to contact either Midwest Mission or Eastbrook Mission Barn. There is not a collection scheduled via EOC as we just collected kits at Annual Conference, and there is no available storage for kits at the Area Center.
Financial Support
There are multiple ways to send financial support to Kentucky:

Project Feed Service Project: Sunday, November 13, 2:00 p.m. @ Wadsworth Middle School
Online Learning Platform
We are excited to share with you another tool that your Connectional Ministries Office now has to help resource you and your church! Designed for both lay and clergy this is a way to have learning happen on your own schedule. There are already many courses available from other conferences that we are in partnership with and in coming months we will be adding more and more of our own content. This content can benefit clergy, leadership, and specifically SPR committees. **Interested in viewing courses available on the online platform but haven't yet registered? Please go to THIS LINK to register yourself for access to multiple resources!

The new Charge Conference course has just launched. It is not yet complete, but since there are many already working on this paperwork, the course has opened now. This can be particularly helpful to new clergy or lay who have not dealt with the paperwork before. The chapters can be done in any order so you can simply access the parts that you need to review. The video guides for the rest of the forms should be available in the next few weeks. Link to this course HERE.
