What a GREAT PLC DAY!

NCEC hosted the first PLC for Teachers from the Philippines on the Dakota College at Bottineau Campus on January 30th.

A total of 14 teachers from surrounding schools gathered for a day of learning, sharing, supporting and bonding with each other.

Thank you for the support from the principals and superintendents for sending these amazing teachers to spend the day together sharing their perspectives with each other and us! We are looking forward to future professional development days together.

We love sharing good news! Send us your Spotlight story for a future newsletter.

NCEC January Inservice Day 2024 was a SUCCESS!

NCEC Teachers and Administrators gathered for a great day of learning, sharing and forging professional relationships. Participants took part in the keynote presentation by Beth Houf (virtually thanks to Mother Nature), breakout sessions presented by area teachers, grade/content PLC, and a presentation on the North Dakota Hub and the roll out of the NCEC Study Abroad Program.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time and expertise to be presenters and facilitators at the January Inservice! We appreciated Rugby hosting us in their great facility, and the food was wonderful!

We received some valuable feedback from those that completed the survey. We appreciate both positive and constructive feedback. We will take your suggestions into consideration for future planning for our next January Inservice Day!

Survey responses included:

I appreciate that the in-service is set up in a way that we are kept moving throughout the day. It makes the day go by quickly. I also really appreciate that we are able to freely choose break-out sessions that fit our unique needs and interests. It's always a great day!

I loved the session about what is new with NCEC. It was interesting to get a breakdown from the people that are creating them!

Thank you for a fun day of seeing other teachers from surrounding schools.

The presentations were great and the organizers were so flexible and proactive in making the necessary changes due to the weather conditions.
