Personal Finance Institutes: Omaha & Kearney

To meet increased demand due to the implementation of the Financial Literacy Act, NCEE offered two Personal Finance Institutes:
  • June 12-15 at UNO
  • July 17-20 at UNK
Thirty-eight Nebraska teachers completed the institutes, which required 18 hours of pre-work and then four full days of personal finance content and pedagogy training. The culminating activity was teacher participants taking a national certification exam. We are thrilled to share a 97% pass rate on the comprehensive exam.

NCEE Strategic Planning
The NCEE team gathered on 8/4/2023 to plan for the upcoming year. The group defined roles, set expectations, and looked ahead to the future of the Council. After the strategic planning session, the crew put that team mindset to the test and absolutely crushed an escape room, solving all the puzzles and escaping in just 32 minutes with no clues! Team members left refreshed and focused on making 2023-2024 another amazing year for economic and personal finance education in Nebraska!
