Reiser Economic Educator of the Year
We congratulate the 2021-2022 Reiser Economic Educator of the Year, Mr. Jeff Gustafson from Millard North High School. We presented him with the award in his classroom to honor him in front of his peers/students. Jeff’s students have been the state champions in NE’s Economics Challenge six of the last nine years! His students have also been the Finance Challenge state champs the last two years and the National Champions last year. What a testament to Jeff’s fantastic teaching!

Congratulations to our Nebraska Finance Challenge State Champions from Millard North High School. The Omaha Reginal competition was held at the University of Nebraska-Omaha College of Business at Mammel Hall. Each State Champion team member received $500.
Norris High School was our top team in the Lincoln Regional and 2nd place statewide. They are pictured here with our Lincoln host, West Gate Bank President, Carl Sjulin. Each team member received $300.
Valentine High School was the winner in the Western Nebraska Regional and placed 3rd overall. Special thanks to University of Nebraska at Kearney-College of Business & Technology for hosting. Each team member received $200.

Celebrating the 2022 Stock Market Game Winners at the Banquet of Champions
On April 27, we celebrated our state winners of the Nebraska Stock Market Game at the Banquet of Champions. The banquet included a keynote address from Carter Hulsey of Funding the Future and welcome from Nebraska Bankers Association President, Richard Baier. Students representing teams from across the state were recognized for their winning portfolios. The State Champion team from Skutt Catholic High School earned an impressive $92,952 in 13 weeks of trading.
