Bargaining Update: 
August 14, 2018

NSD proposals:
Article 6 Hours of Employment: NSD did not agree to before and after school non instructional time as planning and preparation time for 3 of 5 days per week. Proposed to reduce the amount of occasion days from to 12 to 8 days.
Article 8 Leaves: NSD did not agree to Maternity leave, 4 weeks/ 20 calendar contract days.
Article 14 Health and Welfare Benefits: NSD proposed increase from $13,000 to $13,600.
Article 24 Support Personal: NSD agreed for Support Personal to have access to classroom keys and appropriate work space. Agreed to transfer rights under the provisions in Article 7. Establishing an Enrichment teacher leadership team. Proposed language that the district would provide a school counselor or social worker when feasible.

NCETA proposals:
Article 15 Salaries: Proposed a restructure to the teacher salary schedule, with an as yet to be determined percentage increase to all schedules.
