COMMUNITY UPDATES
More than $16,500 Raised for Read and Feed
Our 8th annual Kick 4 a Cause 4v4 tournament last weekend proved to be another great start to the new year! 72 teams participated in this year's event, with 100% of tournament proceeds benefiting Read and Feed!

A huge thanks to our referees who all volunteered their time, to Chick-Fil-A Capital Crossing who supplied their meals, and to all the teams that came out and played for a cause!

With First Horizon Bank generously matching our donation up to $5,000, teams helped raise more than $16,500 to help fuel children's appetite for reading!
Power of Positive: Giving Back this Holiday Season
Ahead of the holiday season, our 09 and 08 ECNL G teams wrapped up their last session of the year in festive gear and on a mission to give back to our community!

The teams collected toys for Toys for Tots, whose purpose is to collect new, unwrapped toys Oct-Dec. The collections are then distributed to children and families in need throughout the community, helping make the holidays a memorable and special.

The Power of Positive feature story is shared thanks to Accentuate Staffing, who has spent the last 25 years connecting top talent to Triangle Area Businesses. See how they are having a positive impact in our community!

Paying Tribute to our Past: Remembering Ray Provencher

Ray was a staple on the sidelines of soccer in the Triangle for nearly 45 years. He was on the founding board of the Capital Area Classic Soccer Association (CACSA), which eventually merged with the Capital Area Soccer League and later became NCFC Youth. He was CACSA club treasurer, assistant coach, dedicated parent, & #1 grandparent spectator at practices and games. His commitment to the game is still felt today with the growth of soccer that was built on the foundation that Ray helped create.

His family is honoring his life and love of the game with the Ray Provencher Memorial Scholarship Fund (which has already raised over $10,000), that will work with NCFC Youth's Financial Aid fund to help all kids pursue their soccer dreams.
More than $1.5 Million (15 million meals) raised for Hunger Relief
During November & December, shoppers - including many NCFC Youth families - "rounded up" at Harris Teeter to support local Feeding America food bank partners. Thank you, Harris Teeter, for being a great community partner, and of course, for your additional support of NCFC Youth players' participation in soccer!
