Please take a moment to share your feedback

We'd love to hear from you on what worked and what didn't this year and how we can better help you help your employees in the future.
Day Care Change - Life Event Active Again

NCFlex has always had the life event "Day Care Change", which is meant for employees to use to make changes to their DDCFSA for some of the following reasons (see the NCFlex HBR Admin Manual for more details):
  • Childcare/adult daycare stops
  • Childcare/adult daycare starts (such as summer camp or when a parent goes back to work after the birth of a child)
  • Childcare/adult daycare costs change

This life event is meant to help employees from over or under contributing into the plan for expenses they may not be sure about yet.

In June of this year we disabled this life event due to COVID changes, and instead monitored requests through exceptions.

Please note, this life event is now active again in Benefitfocus and can be used by an employee within 30 days of an event. Email [email protected] with any questions.
NCFlex GTL and LOA Session Recording

Recently NCFlex provided an HBR session that discussed the topic of Group Term Life through Voya and leave of absence, and provisions to consider. We have posted a recording of this training along with the slides and Q&A from the training on our HBR page.

Please keep in mind, this is not a new process. These provisions have always been in place with our Voya products, but we recognize they have not been communicated properly and may have adverse consequences for employees if not followed. This session was to help educate you on these provisions in order to help improve processes going forward. NCFlex is in the processing of updating the HBR Admin Manual to include information on these provisions.
NCFlex Exceptions - Reminders

Open enrollment for 2021 benefits ended October 31. NCFlex will consider exceptions submitted for OE through March 15, 2021.

Please be reminded, if you have an inquiry and are only looking for information, not requesting a change in someone's benefits, the exception form is not necessary. Instead, you can email us directly at [email protected].

ID Cards and EOIs - the What, When, and Who

Here is some information regarding the NCFlex plans and materials employess may receive or be able to access after their enrollment:

  • A convenience card is mailed to first-time users (for those that have both HCFSA and DDFSA, only one card is issued) and only re-issued if reported lost or stolen, or once it expires after three years (Valid Thru date is listed on the card). Please note these cards come in plain white envelopes with very little markings.
  • Additional cards can be requested by logging onto ncflex.padmin.com or by calling 1-866-916-3475. Additionally, a claims kit will be emailed to all participants (mailed to those without a valid email address on file with P&A) and can also be found in the FSA section of ncflex.org.
Dental -
  • Cards with a unique ID will be issued to new employees who enroll and will only be re-issued to existing participants if they transfer to a new job or make changes to their plan. If cards were not/are not received or additional cards are needed, employees can contact MetLife at 1-855-676-9441.
  • Generic cards (without a unique ID) can be printed after logging onto mybenefits.metlife.com (company name is NCFlex). A generic card can also be found in the dental section of ncflex.org.  Cards are only required the first time a participant visits the dentist or if they change dentists.
