An Important Message for NC Health Benefit Representatives

Open Enrollment Ends Saturday - Oct. 31

The NCFlex Open Enrollment for 2021 plan year runs through the end of day, Saturday, Oct. 31. Important details about enrollment and guides that detail out the benefits can be found on the 2021 NCFlex Open Enrollment page.

NCFlex representatives will be available Saturday until 6pm to answer questions. Email ncflex@nc.gov. Please provide your contact information including phone number for us to reach out to you. We are available for both employee questions and HBR questions.

If employees reach out to us needing assistance on resetting passwords and your location only allows single-sign-on through your HR portal, we will direct the employees back to you.
Open Enrollment Exceptions

As open enrollment comes to a close for the 2021 plan year, we anticipate post-enrollment exception requests. NCFlex is aware of some known system issues including but not limited to:
  • Hard stops in the enrollment system when trying to add or remove dependents to Group Term Life and/or AD&D due to prior dual enrollments or SSNs now being required.
  • Increasing Group Term Life amounts after a dual enrollment was corrected.

If your employee(s) have come across an error in the enrollment system that prevents them from completing all changes they desire, please consider putting in an exception request sooner rather than later. NCFlex exceptions can be submitted via the form found on the HBR portion of our website and must be submitted by an HBR on behalf of the employee.

Keep in mind, NCFlex exceptions are separate from State Health Plan exceptions.
New Allstate Billing Contact

As of Monday Aug. 26, Brenda Ramsey, our HBR contact with Allstate, has a replacement - Reginald Harrison.

Reggie's information can be found in the NCFlex Admin Manual on page 11. Please keep in mind the vendor contacts in the Admin Manual are for HBR use only, not to be shared with employees.
