Open Enrollment Exceptions
As open enrollment comes to a close for the 2021 plan year, we anticipate post-enrollment exception requests. NCFlex is aware of some known system issues including but not limited to:
- Hard stops in the enrollment system when trying to add or remove dependents to Group Term Life and/or AD&D due to prior dual enrollments or SSNs now being required.
- Increasing Group Term Life amounts after a dual enrollment was corrected.
If your employee(s) have come across an error in the enrollment system that prevents them from completing all changes they desire, please consider putting in an exception request sooner rather than later. NCFlex exceptions can be submitted via the form found on the HBR portion of our website and must be submitted by an HBR on behalf of the employee.
Keep in mind, NCFlex exceptions are separate from State Health Plan exceptions.
