An Important Message for NC Health Benefit Representatives

NCFlex Open Enrollment - Oct. 15 - 31
NCFlex combines with the State Health Plan for Open Enrollment in October (15 - 31) for the 2021 plan year.

Changes and reminders for 2021:
  • Dental rates reduced
  • To continue contributions into the FSA plans, re-enroll. Your contributions do not automatically rollover.
  • The HCFSA new limit is $2,750 and the new carry forward amount is $550
  • SSNs will be required for dependents being added to NCFlex plans
  • No EOI (medical questions) for the Cancer plan

All eligible NCFlex members should receive the Open Enrollment Mailer at their home address shortly before enrollment begins.

COVID Related Exceptions

As a reminder, today (Sept. 30) is the last day to submit COVID related exceptions on the FSA plans and/or dental and vision plans (removing or adding dependents). If you have requests from employees, please submit by end of day today.
NCFlex HBR Train the Trainer Webex

We still have a few HBR Train the Trainer webinars coming up, if you are interested in joining us, register HERE.

We have also recorded a session for both the University HBRs and the Non-University HBRs which can be found on our HBR page, along with the slide presentations.
Online Benefits Meetings

During enrollment, employees can attend an online benefits meeting through Webex from their computer, mobile phone or tablet. Employees can register for a meeting by visiting NCFlex Employee Sessions web page. Details on how to join will be emailed to the employee closer to time of the event.

  • Friday, Oct. 16, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. 
  • Saturday, Oct.17, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20, 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Thursday, Oct. 22, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 26, 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. 

Employees with Questions?
Once an employee is in the meeting, they can use the "Chat" box to post their question. A benefits representative will answer questions as they are posted. If an employee is unable to access the Webex, they can call in and listen, then chat their questions through email to [email protected] .
