NCFlex Open Enrollment is Oct. 11 - 29, so take advantage of this once-a-year opportunity to review and make changes to your benefits, add or cancel dependents and enroll in the Flexible Spending Accounts.

Miles for Wellness Challenge 24

Registration Now Open through Sept. 19
Register today to join other state employees in staying active and completing a virtual trek to 16 different state capitols. Challenge 24 will run from Sept. 27 - Nov. 21, 2021.
 
A great way to manage stress and get moving, this Miles for Wellness challenge will begin at the California State Capitol in Sacramento, and travels across the western part of the United States before finishing up at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul. Along the way, participants will make virtual stops in each state, all while promoting a healthy lifestyle and interacting with others.

Miles for Wellness is a virtual, team-based walking initiative by and for the state employees of North Carolina. The purpose of Miles for Wellness is to encourage and support employees to increase their level of physical activity, with the goal of 10,000 steps, or the equivalent of 5 miles, achieved most days of the week. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health.
