Voya Travel Assistance - Free Benefit with NCFlex AD&D

As a reminder, if you are enrolled in the Core or Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefit through NCFlex, you also have a travel assistance benefit available at no cost. This benefit offers you Pre-trip information, Emergency personal services, and Emergency transportation services when traveling more than 100 miles away from home.

This flyer offers you more information about this benefit as well as a section you can cut out and keep with you while you travel, in case of an emergency.
Dependent Day Care Qualifying Life Events

Due to the recent events in our country with COVID-19, if your situation with dependent day care changes and you need to increase or decrease your contributions, you may be eligible to complete a life event in the enrollment system (eBenefits).

Some situations that may qualify:
  • Your child starts or stops daycare
  • Your daycare costs increase or decrease
  • You or your spouse stop working

You have 30 days from the date of an event to make changes to your account. The annual maximum still remains $5000 per household.

To make changes, log into  eBenefits* or contact Benefitfocus at 1-855-859-0966. The "reason for change" would be "Day care change".

*When visiting the eBenefits portal, choose your location on the left and then log in, or log in from the main page. Your work location may have a Single Sign On to eBenefits through your HR portal. If you are not sure or are having trouble, contact your HR office.
With all that is going on around us, staying active can help us keep our sanity, according to an article on WRAL.

To encourage yourself to stay active, consider participating in Miles for Wellness Challenge 21. The deadline to register has been extended through March 24.
Claims Processing

Please keep in mind that when filing claims with NCFlex vendors, many offices are working remote. Please be patient with response time, but if you feel the response time has been excessive, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Dual Enrollment in NCFlex Plans

In the February newsletter we discussed how to find out if you are dually enrolled in an NCFlex plan. If it is discovered that you, your spouse, or your dependent is dually enrolled, instead of calling Benefitfocus as the last newsletter mentioned, please reach directly out to your HR department.
