May - National Skin Cancer Prevention Month

With the sunshine and time outdoors increasing, it’s important to protect our skin from overexposure to the sun. The most preventable risk factor for all types of cancers, including melanoma, is exposure to the sun.

During the month of May, National Skin Cancer Prevention Month, look at information found here from the American Academy of Dermatology to learn how to spot and prevent skin cancer. They also have guides on how to conduct a self-exam of possible trouble spots.

Don't forget you can use your Health Care FSA to pay for sunscreen SPF 15+ in stores and at fsastore.com

Dependent Day Care Flexible Spending Account (DDCFSA)
Filing Claims

The DDCFSA is a great tool to save on taxes for dependent care expenses, but only if you know how to access the money you've contributed. Below we list ways you can file for reimbursement. First take a look a some common mistakes to ensure that you receive your money quickly:

  • Submitting claims prior to service being provided (dates of service must be in the past and can only be reimbursed up to the available account balance)
  • Missing documentation or missing information on documentation provided such as dates of service and itemized amounts
  • Not including the tax ID of the provider

Claims can be uploaded online at  www.padmin.com/ncflex  (see  How to Upload Your FSA Claim   for more details), or via the P&A mobile app. In addition, a  claim form   can be completed and faxed or mailed (contact information is on the form).
