This month we are discussing our Vision plan through EyeMed. Did you know EyeMed has online tools to help you estimate your costs before your appointment? They also have special discounts available to participants.

In June we will discuss our Voluntary and Core Accidental Death and Dismemberment plans through Voya. Did you know that the Core plan is free to all eligible employees if you just enroll? And that having the Voluntary AD&D plan could provide additional payouts to your family above the coverage amount? Also, there is a FREE Travel Assistance benefit that goes along with these plans.

NCFlex benefits are sponsored by the state. If you transfer within state government to another agency, university, select community college or select charter school, your NCFlex benefits transfer with you. Also, if you leave employment, most of these plans have options to continue coverage either at the same rate you pay as an employee or a small percentage more.
