The National Center for Homeless Education (NCHE) team is deeply saddened by the devastation from wildfires that continue to impact the Los Angeles area and Southern California.

Students and families experiencing homelessness because of this unprecedented event will need connections to academic and non-academic resources and support. We have collected resources from NCHE, national partners, and local resources that will aid educators and community partners in supporting impacted students and families. Children and youth who are displaced due to disasters like wildfires may qualify for education-specific support under the McKinney-Vento Act.
