Lady Vikings Claim State Crown: A Season to Remember
The Lady Vikings are back on top! With an extraordinary display of teamwork, determination, and heart, Nolan Catholic’s girls cross country team captured the 2025 TAPPS 6A State Championship, marking the program’s first state title since 2007.
Competing in Waco against the strongest field in Texas, the Lady Vikings edged out the competition by just five points, earning the right to be called State Champions.
Leading the way was Georgia Giesinger, who raced to victory as the Individual State Champion, crossing the finish line first and setting the tone for the team’s unforgettable day.
Joining her in the top ten was Ava Talabock, whose outstanding race helped solidify Nolan’s strong team standing. Close behind were Emma Cordova and Claire Pearles, who placed 11th and 12th, rounding out the team’s powerhouse pack. Mabel Giesinger sealed the win with an impressive 23rd-place finish, ensuring every point counted in the Lady Vikings’ narrow but decisive victory. The team was led all season by senior captain Avery Schmidt, whose leadership, consistency, and unwavering spirit inspired her teammates every step of the way.
Congratulations to our 2025 TAPPS 6A State Champion Lady Vikings Cross Country Team!
