ISRAEL: Ways to Take Action

NCJW/KENDALL SECTION STANDS WITH ISRAEL

NCJW/Kendall has Stepped Up to Help our Sisters and Brothers in Israel. Together we purchased five Emergency Medical Kits to be directly sent to Israeli soldiers on the front lines. We also donated $2500.00 to the NCJW Emergency Grant Program, which is focused on the needs of women, children and families that have been so devastatingly affected by the Hammas attacks.

THERE IS STILL MUCH TO BE DONE:

Our Voices for Hostages campaign centers on the needs of hostages and their families. So far, more than 8,000 people have signed a letter calling for the safe and humane treatment of all hostages.

  1. Email your Member of Congress: Reach out to your representatives today to urge swift action to support the hostages, ensuring they have medical care and negotiating their release. Congress must do everything in its power to ensure the immediate release of Americans as well as all of the hostages.
  2. Save a Seat at Your Shabbat for a Hostage: As we enter Shabbat this week, and each week until those being held captive are safely home, NCJW invites you to save a seat at your Shabbat table for one of the two-hundred hostages still being held by Hamas. Learn more about how to save a seat here.
  3. Stay Informed: This resource guide is being constantly updated.
  4. Support the Israel Grant Program (IGP) Emergency Appeal. No other emergency fund is focused on finding women-centered solutions.
  5. Donate Much Needed Supplies and/or Volunteer to Pack up The Boxes Being Sent to Israel. Contact Caryn Boren for a list of supplies and more info: ctanis@bellsouth.net
  6. Join NCJW members from around the country In Washington DC.

NCJW is joining together with Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations on the National Mall in Washington, DC on Tuesday, November 14 at 1:00pm ET in support of Israel, for freeing the hostages, and to combat antisemitism. This is our chance to make our voices heard, and we are asking you to join us!

If your college student is threatened, they can

  • file an electronic complaint form with the Office for Civil Rights within the U.S. Department of Education.
