The 2022 Best Practices and Innovations in Career and Technical Education Conference
Call for Proposals: Deadline March 7th
We invite you to submit a session proposal to present at the 2022 Best Practices and Innovations in Career and Technical Education conference. The annual conference co-hosted by the NCLA and the Administration Division of ACTE® is specifically focused on the professional development for administrators of both secondary and post-secondary career and technical education programs and institutions. The conference will be held September 28-30, 2022 on Cape Cod (North Falmouth), MA.
This year the following content areas have been identified as the focus for strengthening the field of veteran and new CTE administrators:

  • Inclusion, Access, Equality and Diversity
  • Post-Secondary CTE initiatives/innovative programs/collaboration with secondary program
  • High-quality CTE teacher recruitment, engagement and retention
  • Providing access to technology, equipment and instructional materials including virtual resources to students engaged in remote learning
  • Use of data for program review, improvement and accountability
  • Social and emotional health of students and instructors
  • Integrating work-based learning into in-person and remote instruction
  • Maintaining Business and Community Partnerships in a virtual world
The deadline to submit a proposal is 5 p.m. EDT, Monday, March 7, 2022.
The Dave Berryman Leadership Development Scholarship:

The Dave Berryman Leadership Development Scholarship is awarded annually to two career and technical education administrators. The scholarship is designed to assist individuals to attend the NCLA/ACTE Best Practices and Innovations Conference. Scholarship recipients are provided with a complimentary registration to the #BPCTE22 conference and a $750 travel stipend. This scholarship is available to first-time attendees. The Distinguished Service Award 2022
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals and organizations who have provided extraordinary service to Career Technical Education and NCLA. The recipient has made a significant and lasting impact on the field of Career Technical Education through their professional accomplishments and by having served in this profession for an extended period. They have also earned the respect and admiration of their colleagues.
The next Distinguished Service Award will be announced at the Best Practices and Innovations Conference in Cape Cod, MA on September 28- 30th. If you know of a deserving individual, please be sure to submit your nomination by March 31, 2022.
