President's Corner with Stephanie Amend
Stephanie Amend
NCMA Denver President
Thank you to everyone who attended the Cyber Security Winter Seminar in February. We appreciated our attendees and our volunteer speakers/panelists.  We know there is more to come on this topic and as a Chapter, we'll do our best to keep our members informed and educated.

Also, thank you all who attended the networking and open board meeting on April 4th. I was disappointed the weather wouldn't allow for my attendance, but it was great to have some old and new faces join our board meeting. Our Focus on the FAR seminar will be May 2nd, so please save the date; we'll be doing a deep dive into the FAR and this will be an all day event. This is our most highly attended event of the year and we're looking forward to discussing sections of the FAR that we haven't spent much time on in years' past.

In addition, we will be holding our Officer election for the 2017/2018 program year. This year the following people have been nominated for Officer positions: Alyson McCoy - Secretary, Jami Eckel - President Elect and Nathan Gordon - Treasurer. We have heard from our members that you would like more events close to Denver and south Denver, so we're looking forward to our education/networking event at our sponsor, EKS&H, on April 20th.  In order for us to make this successful and plan for more Denver events next program year, attendance will be important. If you're in the Denver area, we'd love to see you there!
