We are kicking off the new year bringing you what you asked for most in response to our survey - let's bring on the training! We had a great turnout for the first two of the webinar series on pricing this January (the third in the series, Total Evaluated Price, will be next Thursday January 25th (see details elsewhere in the newsletter). In February, we are pleased to be bringing you two more "live" webinars: Acquisition of Commercial Items (February 8th) and IP Protection and Cybersecurity in the Supply Chain (February 22nd). We will be bringing you this type of training/CPE opportunity throughout the program year. If demand is high enough, we will look into hosting these events at multiple locations for easier access for more of our members.
Stay tuned for details on our full day Winter Seminar to be held in March, and our big speaking engagement in the Spring. There is a lot of helpful content in the newsletter this month, so I'll keep this short. But first, I want to congratulate the most recent group of Denver Chapter members who passed their NCMA certification exams:
Brandon White,
Contract Price/Cost Analyst at Defense Contract Management Agency,
CFCM
Richard Steinberg, Contract Administrator at Envirocon, CPCM
Carrie Craft, Subcontract Manager at Sierra Nevada Corporation, CPCM
Joshua Thomas, Contracts Manager at Sierra Nevada Corporation, CPCM
Luke Griffith, Senior Procurement Manager at Sierra Nevada Corporation, PMP, CPCM
Paul Fisher, Sierra Nevada Corporation, CPCM
Congratulations to you! We also have our certification study group starting this upcoming Wednesday evening. So best of luck to those of you who will be studying for your exams shortly.
Last, I was honored to accept the Chapter Excellence Award, Silver Award for mid-size Chapters, on behalf of the Denver Chapter, at the Government Contracts Management Symposium in Arlington, Virginia this December. Thank you again for making this such a great chapter! I am looking forward to the what the new year will bring for us, and I wish you all a safe and prosperous year ahead.
