President's Corner with Stephanie Amend
Stephanie Amend
NCMA Denver President
Thanks to everyone who attended our Spring Focus on the FAR Seminar! We had a great turnout and learned so much from our speakers on FAR Parts 22, 12, 19 and 42. It was great to dive into a few parts of the FAR that we've never really covered before. In addition, Quincy's updates are always a hit; it seems in our profession there is a never ending stream of change and things you thought you knew, but now don't! We also had two great speakers from DCMA which was a great cap to an interesting day. We held our annual vote for Denver Chapter officers at the event and voted in your Officers for next program year (which begins July 1). We have a fantastic board and a great set of Officers for next year. We're fortunate to have volunteers with interest; many other chapters do not enjoy that luxury, so I'm very appreciative!  Speaking of appreciation, I really hope we see you for our final event in June. As you may have heard, after serving the NCMA Denver Chapter for 23 years, Stacey Gustus (current Secretary) will be stepping down from the board and taking on a less consuming role as a volunteer Chapter Coordinator. So you'll be still communicating with her on registrations and see her at events.  So we will be celebrating Stacey's contribution to our Chapter and celebrating the great program year on June 6th. More details are in this newsletter and more to follow as we finalize the event.
Save the Date: June 6th, 2017
End of Year Party & Thank You to Stacey Gustus
