NCMA Denver President
Dear Denver Chapter,
It's time to celebrate you. Our annual Member Appreciation Holiday Party is the Chapter's way of saying thank you to the volunteers that make this Chapter so successful. We hope you can join us for an evening of food and festivities on Tuesday, December 12th, starting at 5:00pm, at Wayward, a great new restaurant on Little Raven Street in Denver. Wayward will be offering a good variety of appetizers and an open bar. Space is limited so register soon!
We have a lot to be thankful for. Once again our chapter has been recognized by the National Contracts Management Association Headquarters and we've been awarded the Silver Chapter Excellence Award for the last Program Year. This is a great accomplishment by last year's Board of Directors, and we are working hard to earn this award again this year by focusing on developing a s trong leadership pipeline, improving chapter operations, increasing member involvement and making sure our member services are best serving you.
This Fall, we've held several networking and social events, hosted Dr. John Wilkinson from NCMA headquarters to speak on Leadership Competency, we developed and circulated a survey for your feedback on our member services and programming, we are preparing the next certification study group sessions, developing a new scholarship, are hard at work planning the Winter and Spring educational training seminars, and more. In December, some of us will be traveling to the Government Contracts Management Symposium in Arlington, Virginia. While there, we'll be developing new ideas for our chapter, discussing what's worked well with other chapter leaders, and connecting with potential speakers to bring their expertise to our audience in Denver. We will be working on ways to showcase the expertise and experience we have in our own backyard, and the best ways our members can benefit from each other. There is still much to do!
Also, make sure to check out the next issue of the Contract Management magazine, which spotlights the contributions of our own "Chapter Mom" Stacey Gustus. In the meantime, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving and holiday season. We hope to see you on December 12th!
