Stephanie Amend
NCMA Denver President
We've officially kicked off our  2016 - 2017 Program Y ear and I am honored and excited to have the privilege to serve as your Chapter President this year. I truly believe we have one of the strongest NCMA chapters; our volunteers and members truly offer their best to make this chapter benefic ial to those it serves. We have long standing board members that I'm very appreciative to have support us again this year, and new board members that I'm excited to work alongside.  As a board, we look forward to continuing our Chapter's tradition of offering professional growth and support to you, our members.
We are solidifying details for our programming this year, but I'd like to give you a preview of what is to come.   As in year's past, we will be hosting three larger educational seminars; one each in fall, winter and spring. These will be the longer, more in-depth events focusing on one or two key topics important to our members.  In-between these events, we'll be hosting webinars, networking happy hours, and other get-togethers to provide educational and social opportunities. One reoccurring agenda item  at our board meetings is identifying topics for our events that are important for our members. The challenge is obtaining your ideas on what is important to you. We will be making an effort to survey our members to better understand your needs and what you're looking to get from being a Denver Chapter member. We look forward to your input; it is most valuable in our planning. Please always feel free to also utilize our social media platforms to submit ideas and discussions topics, or to email any of our board members.
Our goal as a board, and my goal  is the President, is to make this the best chapter it can be. The designation of "best" is determined by you, the member. Your support of our chapter, your ideas on what we should be doing to benefit your membership, and your participation at our events are key to having a great year. I am looking forward to an exciting year; thank you for being a part of the Denver Chapter!

Penny for your thoughts?
As we are planning the 2016-2017 Program Year, the Denver Chapter Board wants to know how we can best meet your needs as contracting professionals. We want to know what programming you need, what you hope to gain from being a member, and how we can best provide that to you. Please keep an eye out for our Denver Chapter Survey, to be released in the upcoming weeks. We look forward to hearing from you!
