NCOPA Travel and Training Grant


The application period is now open until October 1, 2023.


The Northern California Olympians’ & Paralympians Grant Program provides direct financial assistance to athletes with successful competitive records who have the potential to be placed on future Olympic or Paralympic Teams representing any country.


An individual or team may request a grant up to $1,000. Applicants must be residents of Northern California and demonstrate the ability, based on competitive record and years in training, to compete at an elite level. Requests for assistance are considered for coaching, specialized training, equipment, attire and/or travel.

Olympic and Paralympic Day


Olympic & Paralympic Day is a celebration of the Olympic and Paralympic movement and the joy of sport by millions of people around the world. This day is celebrated annually on June 23, with events taking place from late May through early July. The events celebrates fitness, well-being, sport culture, and educational opportunities, while promoting the Olympic and Paralympic values of excellence, friendship, respect, determination, inspiration, courage, and equality.


For 2023, NCOPA is planning Olympic & Paralympic Day in Northern California. We want to hear from you! What would you like to do to celebrate? Past Olympic & Paralympic Days have included sports clinics, panels of athletes discussing reflections on prior Games, virtual races, and city proclamations. If you would like to encourage your city to join in the festivities, here is a template of a city proclamation.

USOPA Reunion


The 2023 Olympic & Paralympic Reunion is April 21st - 23rd in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The registration deadline is March 22nd, 2023.


According to the reunion committee, you should have received an email from teamusaevents@usopc.org with a personalized code. You can use this code to register yourself and your guests. If you did not receive the code, or can't find it, please email USOPA.Mailbox@usopc.org.

Call for Nominations - World Fair Play Awards


The International Fair Play Committee's mission is to draw the attention of the world to the outstanding examples of fair play attitude and good sportsmanship in sports. The Committee presents awards annually in four categories (respectively to athletes, teams, journalists, sports officials and organizations all over the world):

  • Act of Fair Play,
  • Career in the spirit of Fair Play,
  • Promotion of Fair Play,
  • Fair Play Trophy for the Youth


If you were a witness of such fair attitude, please consider sending in nominations for the World Fair Play Awards for the year 2022!

Nominations are due by Feb 28th, 2023.

WOA Grants


The WOA 2023 Grants program is now open until March 26th, 2023. You can apply for funding for projects run by yourself or other Olympians which either benefit your fellow Olympians or your community.
