The NCPMA Board of Directors gathered in Cherokee from April 13–15 for its annual planning retreat. It was a great opportunity to visit our friends in Western North Carolina while collaborating on plans for the year ahead.

During the retreat, board members participated in a focused board training session, followed by an engaging leadership and strategy development workshop.

We’re excited about what’s ahead — and we can’t wait to share our plans with you soon!

Last month, the current class of NCPMA's Leadership Development Academy gathered in Wilmington for their second session focusing on Personal and Team Leadership.

Over three days, participants explored how to apply interpersonal leadership skills to motivate and inspire others. The session also offered best practices for developing team members while driving high performance.

The third Leadership Development Academy session will be held in September before the class graduation in November.

NCPMA recently provided association members with the critical changes that you need to be aware of regarding certification and training for pest control applicators in N.C.

The new rules became effective Feb. 1, 2025, however, NCDA&CS has stated that the earliest date of enforcement by their field inspectors will begin on July 1, 2025. The Division will be conducting outreach and training presentations for PMPs throughout N.C. in the month of May 2025. Its staff will be giving presentations concerning each Rule Revision, and we will be available to answer any questions that you may have. Structural G CCUs will be offered for this training.

The required sessions will be announced at a later date, and we will keep you informed as we know more. This is a one-time training requirement to get every CA and Licensee up to the new standards.  You must attend one of the in-person training courses or the virtual training.

In the meantime, the NCDA&CS is offering some optional information-only sessions for Licensees and Certified Applicators to help answer questions about this new requirement and new rules. The information about those dates is below.

Your company must be active in our membership database and have a unique email address on file for you to register yourself or employees for events as a member and pay the member rate.

Update Your Employees

If you are the Primary Contact for your company, you can update and manage which employees are registered with NCPMA. While each of our members can update his or her personal contact information, only the Primary Contact for each company can update employee information. Please update License Type and Number for each employee. If an individual holds a license in more than one state, please add that information as well. If the state is not listed as an option please notify info@ncpestmanagement.org. This is critical for continuing education reporting.  

We hope this helps streamline the membership renewal process and event registration process.

We are proud to be joint members with the National Pest Management Association. Your login for the NPMA website event registration is different from your NCPMA website login. You will need a different login and password for NCPMA's website.
