Meet our 2024-2025 Board of Directors

The Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Summer Conference was a fantastic event! Thank you to everyone to attended, presented, sponsored or exhibited!

As part of our Board Meeting, we welcomed the new 2024-2025 Board of Directors which includes our new officers for the coming year.

President: Scott Canady, Canady’s Termite and Pest Control (Lumber Bridge)

Vice President: Allen Langley, H&H Pest Control and Water Proofing (Shelby)

Secretary/Treasurer: Thomas Cheek, Terminix Triad (Greensboro)

Past President: Dylan Morrison, City Wide Exterminating (Locust)

“This year promises to be a big one for NCPMA as we celebrate the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Pest Control Technician’s School and more,” said Scott Canady, 2024-2025 NCPMA President. “This is an exciting time for our association and our industry, and I’m honored to be serving my second term as president and working with this board of directors over the next year to help guide the association.”

The officers and board members will serve a one-year term ending July 2025. Each of the executive officers has served previous terms on the board of directors and has been active in board committees.

A Word from NCPMA's Leaders

Meet Scott Canady

NCPMA President

Hello NCPMA Members,

Being a part of this organization has been extremely important to me and my family for decades, and I am looking forward to working with the Board of Directors over the next year to bring more value to our members.

Our members are the most important part of NCPMA, and we want to make the membership experience the best that it can be. Over the next year, we’ll be working closely together as a Board to improve our membership benefits. I know from personal experience that this association has so much importance for my own company, and I want to ensure that every one of you feels that way too.

Part of that goal will be to increase the number of in-person meetings we hold. We’ll be expanding the number of in-person board meetings throughout this year to offer our members a chance to come interact with us one-on-one, and I invite each of you to join us at one or more of these meetings.

We’ve recently launched a new website for NCPMA that will have all of these meeting dates on it, so please visit it regularly for the latest information.

And finally, I am looking forward to meeting with you personally! I plan to visit our members across the state as much as possible throughout the coming year. I want to see and hear from you about how we can make your membership (and our association) better!

This is our association and our industry, and I’m honored and humbled to be able to serve as NCPMA’s president for a second term.

I look forward to working with you to make it the best that it can be.

Scott Canady

Meet Nicole Shore

NCPMA Executive Director

Hello friends!

I am very excited to be serving NCPMA as your Executive Director.   I graduated from East Carolina University with a BS degree in Communications and Creative Writing. Following graduation, I began my professional career at FirstPoint Management Resources, where I stayed for 14 years.  I held many titles and roles during my time at FPMR honing my skills in communication, event planning and organizational design.  I had the honor of managing and working with several professional associations and societies such as NC Licensed Home Inspectors Association, Multi-Housing Laundry Association, Society of Invasive Cardiovascular professionals, NC Board of Podiatry Examiners and NC Land Title Association.

In 2014, I transitioned to corporate HR with RAI Services Company.  There I gained valuable experiences and held various positions within Human Resources, including roles in Talent Development, Talent Management, and ultimately served as Lead Manager for Talent & Organizational Effectiveness.

I rejoined FPMR as a Senior Account Manager in May 2024 and am really enjoying being back in the association world.  I have an enthusiasm for fostering relationships, designing impactful campaigns, and translating concepts into actionable initiatives.  I have a strong foundation in communication, engagement, organizational efficiency, and event planning. I excel in roles where these proficiencies can be harnessed to drive favorable results and enrich the experiences of both members and stakeholders.

Personally, I am parent person for my three nephews, Isaac (20), Jacob (17), and Sam (16). Most of my free time is spent supporting them in their various interests.  You’ll find me at a football game on Friday nights! I’m passionate about my friends and family and love cooking and baking and have been known to throw a great party!  I love going for walks and doing yoga and the beach is my favorite vacation spot.

I’m a huge Organ Donation Awareness Advocate! In 2017 my nephew received a kidney transplant, and I was able to orchestrate a highly successful fundraising event to support organ donation initiatives, inspired by his experience.

I am excited and ready to work with NCPMA to strengthen the organization and help you all meet and exceed your goals!

About Safe House Project

Did you know hundreds of thousands of American children are sex trafficked annually, with only 1% of the victims identified? Safe House Project has the audacious belief that eradication of child trafficking is possible through the power of unity, compassion, and collective action. Their mission is to increase survivor identification beyond one percent through education, provide emergency services and placement to all survivors, and ensure every survivor can access quality, safe housing and holistic care.

Safe House Project recognizes the crucial role that in-home service providers can play and offers free, industry-focused training to empower these professionals to be vigilant and proactive in spotting signs of human trafficking. Pest management professionals, who often access various homes and properties, are trained to identify suspicious situations and know the proper steps to report them. This training transforms everyday service providers into the eyes and ears of our communities, significantly enhancing the efforts to identify and rescue trafficking survivors.
