Registration Open for 2024 Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Summer Conference

The Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Conference will be here before we know it!

Registration and hotel bookings are now open for this fun event which will be held July 25-27 in Myrtle Beach!

Earn CEUs and enjoy all of the social activities including the annual cornhole tournament, family picnic, and closing beach BBQ!

MEMBER UPDATE: Special GMM Called for June 25

In accordance with the Associations' bylaws the Board of Directors has called a Special/Emergency General Membership meeting for Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 9 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors as well as elect the slate of officers for 2024-2025.

Please make plans to attend and elect the leadership of your association for the 2024-2025 year.

A NCPMA Board meeting will be held immediately following on June 25, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

NC and SC PWIPM Chapters Announce "Freedom Walk" at NPMA Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Summer Conference

Join the North Carolina and South Carolina Professional Women in Pest Management Chapters on Thursday, July 25 at 7 a.m. for their first Annual “Freedom Walk." All proceeds will benefit the Safe House Project. The company that has the most “Freedom Walk” paid/registered attendees will receive a company cookout, compliments of FORSHAW. PWIPM will kick off this event bright and early with a pre-stretch by certified fitness trainer, AJ Lightbody, prior to the walk/run along the beachfront.

About Safe House Project

Did you know hundreds of thousands of American children are sex trafficked annually, with only 1% of the victims identified? Safe House Project has the audacious belief that eradication of child trafficking is possible through the power of unity, compassion, and collective action. Their mission is to increase survivor identification beyond one percent through education, provide emergency services and placement to all survivors, and ensure every survivor can access quality, safe housing and holistic care.

Safe House Project recognizes the crucial role that in-home service providers can play and offers free, industry-focused training to empower these professionals to be vigilant and proactive in spotting signs of human trafficking. Pest management professionals, who often access various homes and properties, are trained to identify suspicious situations and know the proper steps to report them. This training transforms everyday service providers into the eyes and ears of our communities, significantly enhancing the efforts to identify and rescue trafficking survivors.

The Freedom Walk will be held Thursday, July 25 beginning at 7 a.m. on the beach!

Registration: Registration is online or at the event in the Atlantic Hall at the Marriott Resort Myrtle Beach at Grande Dunes, if you have questions.
On-site Registration: Thursday, July 25 from 6 a.m. - 6:45 a.m.
Walk: Thursday, July 25 at 7 a.m., on the beach!
Cost: $20.00 per person, children under age 15 FREE.
Multiple Drawings for various prizes for all paid/registered “Freedom Walk” participants will be drawn on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. (winners do not need to be present). This will include a GRAND PRIZE drawing for a 5-night stay at the Sands Ocean Club Resort located at 9550 Shore Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC!!!
