Guest Column: 2018-2019 Year in Review and Thank You
By Bruce Roberts, 2018-2019 NCPMA President

Dear Member Companies,

As we wind down another membership year, I'd like to thank you once again for your continued support in advancing our industry through the efforts of our association. It's been an honor to serve as President of NCPMA. As I reflect on the last 12 months, it's with great pride that I can say we have achieved a lot together. For all those I had the chance to meet and to those long-time colleagues I got to see around
the state, I appreciate your friendship and hospitality. I'm also pleased to report that the future of the association is in good hands, with a strong leadership and a suite of new projects and resources that are being developed on your behalf.

Below are just a few of the many accomplishments that we achieved this year, which were a direct result of the hard work of the NCPMA members.

Save the Date: 2020 PCT School

The 2020 Pest Control Technician's (PCT) School is coming up in January and will be our 70th PCT School!  Mark your calendars for Jan. 26-30, 2020 and join us in Durham  for a week of networking, nationally known speakers and excellent training sessions you won't find anywhere else.

Featured Speakers
The PCT School will feature many nationally recognized speakers covering a variety of topics which we'll be announcing over the next few months.

Stay tuned over the next few months as we announce these exciting speakers!

Hands-on Training Sessions
The PCT School will again offer multiple hands-on training sessions for our attendees to learn the latest pest management techniques.

We will offer the NCSU Hands-On Spray School and Live Learning Course. This year, however, the course will be held on-site at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham to make the experience more convenient for our attendees.

Meet the Board: Dylan Morrison
At-Large Director

Dylan Morrison has been an active member of NCPMA for nearly a decade.

Dylan is currently serving his second term on the NCPMA Board of Directors. After serving as a Presidential Appointee in 2017-2018, he now serves as an At-Large Director and is a member of the Public Policy Committee.

" NCPMA does so much for our industry in our state. NCPMA provides so many educational opportunities that allows both technicians and companies as a whole to rise to the next level in our industry," he said. "This industry has so much to offer. It's not always easy, but with an open mind and investment in education, there are so many opportunities out there."

Dylan works at  City Wide Exterminating, Inc. in Locust. He began his career when he started working for City Wide Exterminating, Inc. on weekends throughout high school.

"I quickly became fascinated by the different aspects of the job and intrigued by the industry. My favorite part about my job today is helping new team members to develop new skills that allow them to grow within our industry," he said.

In his spare time, you'll find Dylan spending time with his wife and daughters, kayaking or traveling.
