We are excited to welcome our new Board of Directors for 2020-2021. 
 
The new officers of the board of directors for 2020-2021 include:

In addition, the board of directors welcomed four new members who have never previously served on the board of directors. These include Bernard Buttone (Triangle Pest Control), Johnnie Johnson (Eco Advantage Termite & Pest Solutions, Inc.), Patrick Thompson (Pest Management Systems, Inc.), and Kyle Franklin (BASF).
 
"2020 has been a year of challenges and change, but what hasn't changed is our dedication to serving the pest management industry in North Carolina. As a board of directors, we are proud to continue a nearly 70-year tradition of serving and representing the state's pest management industry," said John Adkins, 2020-2021 NCPMA President.

The officers and board members will serve a one-year term ending July 2021.  Each of the executive officers has served previous terms on the board of directors and has been active in board committees.

We have launched the NCPMA Extension Program Endowment in Honor of Mike Waldvogel to  support the ongoing work of NCSU, focusing on supporting positions that directly contribute to the education of our industry.

Technician of the YearThe NCPMA Technician of the Year Award is designed to recognize an individual who exemplifies those qualities that best define an outstanding service technician in the pest management industry of North Carolina. Two awards are presented each year to a W-Phase and P-Phase technician.

In this course participants will learn biology & behavior for boxelder bugs, centipedes, crickets, earwigs, ladybugs, millipedes, pillbugs, silverfish, slugs, springtails, and stink bugs. You will learn treatment and exclusion options as well as information to educate homeowners about them.

Bed Bugs: Everything About Bed Bugs from A to Z (earn 7 CCU credits)
Presenter: Dini Miller, Ph.D. - Urban Pest Management Specialist Virginia Tech

This course will cover everything from Bed Bug Biology & Behavior, Bed Bug Prevention Methods, How to Identify a Bed Bug Infestation, Bed Bug Treatments using Insecticides, non- chemical methods such as using heat (including how to put together and use a heat machine) as well as how to set up protocols to do bed bug work.
