| Date Announced for the North Carolina Structural Pest Control Meeting
The dates for the next North Carolina Structural Pest Control meeting
have been announced and the event will take place on July 21 at 9:00am. A
location has not yet been determined but all NCPMA
members will be notified as soon as additional info is available.

NCPMA Launches Video Series
First Video Promotes WDIR Accreditation Program
NCPMA is excited to announce that it has launched a video series and
YouTube channel. The new video series will promote NCPMA programs and pest management updates.
The first of these videos is about our Wood-Destroying Insect Report (WDIR) Accreditation Program. It is designed to reach realtors and homeowners to promote the use of WDIR accredited inspectors.
We'll be sharing the link to this video on our social media channels and also on the NCPMA website and encourage our members to share this video through your own social media channels and websites.

In an effort to provide the directory in the most desired format for each member company we want to give you the option to have it electronically in print or both. If you are happy with the attached electronic version feel free to use as is and share with your staff. If you would like to request a hard copy of the directory be mailed to you please do so by clicking here. There is no fee for a copy and, similar to past years, NCPMA will provide one to each member company as requested. |
NCPMA Hall of Fame Now Online
The NCPMA Hall of Fame is now online! Visit the NCPMA website to view a page dedicated to the individuals who have received our highest honor, a place in the NCPMA Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made a significant impact on the pest management industry in North Carolina, and there have been 25 men and women inducted into the Hall of Fame since its creation.

Student Receives Research Honors
Technician Online, June 4, 2015
Alexander Richter who has received a doctorate in chemical and bio molecular engineering, has received a $15,000 scholarship for his work with agricultural pest control which uses biodegradable nano-particles. The Lamelson-MIT Collegiate Student Prize Competition awards students for their work in developed and developing economies.
Richter's work addresses global food insecurity, as his technology could result in effective crop protection, reducing the environmental burden on the soil.

New Online ACE Exam Prep Track Unveiled
 For many pest management professionals, self-study doesn't come as easy as it did back in school. With that in mind, NPMA has developed an ACE Exam Prep Track to help you prepare for the rigorous ACE exam offered by the Entomological Society of America. This course provides you with a variety of on-demand resources that you will aid in your preparatory efforts.
This training is available on NPMA's Online Learning Center and includes:
- An overview of the new ACE exam
- A comprehensive resource and study guide
- Currently over 8 hours of training, with new content added as it's developed
- A weekly directed study schedule to keep you on track
- A full-length practice exam

NPMA is now accepting nominations for the annual Women of Excellence Award, sponsored by Target Specialty Products.
The international honor is open to women across the pest management industry - PMP's, manufacturers, research organizations, etc. - who demonstrate outstanding leadership and have made notable contributions to the development and growth of the profession, their business, and other women in the industry.
Award nominations are due by Aug. 29, 2015 and the recipient will be recognized at
PestWorld 2015, Oct. 20-23 in Nashville.
