Take a look at the new items we'll be offering:

New Interactive Courses for Attendees

North Carolina State University (NCSU) Hands-On Training for Techs & Spray School will be held Jan. 29 at the NCSU Structural Pest Management Training Facility on Chi Road in Raleigh.

This 4-hour, hands-on training session for pest management managers and technicians will focus on proper equipment handling, calibration and repair and how to ensure accurate pesticide application rates and techniques. This is the only course offered at an off-site location during the PCT School and is capped at 100 participants.

NWCOA Wildlife Training will be offered by the National Wildlife Control Operators Association on Jan. 31. This is the first 8-hour wildlife course offered at the PCT School and is designed to provide a comprehensive educational opportunity to earn credits while learning the latest in control techniques.

SURVEY: Do You Need a Category B Certification in Public Health?
Take this Quick Survey to Assist Us with PCT Programming

The North Carolina Pest Management Association is gearing up for a cutting edge 2019 PCT Conference. We have some of the biggest name speakers in the country, in addition to additional programming specific to wildlife control, bed bugs and a hands-on spray class.

This year we have received several requests to also incorporate the NC Department of Agriculture Category B exam for those folks that would like to be certified in Public Health. To assist with preparation for the exam, NCPMA is considering offering a training course in conjunction with the school on Wednesday, Jan. 30. The proposed schedule is below:
  • 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Category B Prep Training
  • 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.: Lunch and Exhibits
  • 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Category B Exam Offered by NC DACS
Please click here  to take a quick survey so that we can gauge interest in offering the Category B exam at the 2019 PCT School.

Note: You will need to take the Category B core exam unless you have taken the pesticide Section's Core Exam (e.g., to get a Category L or Ornamental & Turf Pest Control license) since 2004, then you do not need to take the Pesticide Section Core Exam.
