There's a new face at NCPMA.
Ashley Amidon was named the association's Executive Director effective July 1.
Amidon replaces Andrew Architect who served as NCPMA Executive Director from 2014-2019 and who currently serves as Chief of Staff of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA).
"I am so excited to support the excellent work NCPMA does," said Amidon. "I've been working with the Board since this summer, and I am so impressed by all the work NCPMA has done and is planning to support the pest management industry."
In this role, Amidon will oversee daily association management, event and conference management and will work with the Board of Directors to support the pest management industry in North Carolina.
She also currently serves as the Vice President of Public Policy for the NPMA where she leads the NPMA public policy team, handles federal legislative issues and serves as the Treasurer of NPMA's Political Action Committee. Her issues portfolio focuses on pesticides, water, endangered species act reform, tax and public health.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ashley Amidon to our NCPMA team," said Clint Miller, NCPMA president. "Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in public affairs, and we are looking forward to working closely with her as we continue to serve the needs of the pest management industry in North Carolina."
Amidon received her bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Virginia and a master's degree in International Affairs from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom. She is a registered and certified lobbyist and a 2018 graduate of the Institute for Organization Management.
