This program is built around pointing out the good things that we see our employees or co-workers do that demonstrate NCS’ core values: QUALITY, COMMUNICATION, CUSTOMER SERVICE, INTEGRITY, and SAFETY.
Anytime you see a co-worker or if you are a manager, one of your employees does something that you feel shows them living up to one or more of our core values, shoot an email to [email protected] briefly explaining the good behavior.

Safety Tips to Beat the Heat
|
Summer heat can be more than uncomfortable; it can threaten your health, especially for older adults and children. Hot and humid weather can make it more challenging for your body to cool down, leading to heat-related illnesses. Three types of such illnesses include heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heatstroke. If left untreated, they can become life-threatening.

4 tax-smart ways to share the wealth with kids
|
As parents or grandparents, we want to do what’s best for our children and grandchildren. We want them to enjoy the gifts we’ve given them during our lifetimes — family traditions, connections and values — and we also want our financial legacy to pass to them without complications. But if we don’t manage our gift planning thoughtfully, we could leave future generations with unexpected challenges.

"Regarding our recent Data Cabling Project at 7000 Regency Square Blvd. in Houston, I wanted to let you know that your team and their work are much appreciated. Aaron Smith, Edgar Garza, and David Edgerton took the time to interpret our hastily conceived cabling plan and develop the scope to make it workable. When it came to installing the cables, terminating, testing, and the build-out of our IT network room, David really took the time to do a very nice job on the project. The IT room is clean and detailed. The Cabling, Racks, Ladder, and Patch Panel installation are complete to specification. We had a very specific requirement with point-to-point cabling in the classroom for HD-Base-T requirements, which is working well. Overall, I consider the work and effort to be first-rate.
So, many thanks to your team. You helped us a few years ago across the parking lot at our last location with a cabling solution. Now, our network infrastructure is functioning, and we are settling into the new location. You also continue to help us in Dallas with other projects like our new auditorium and student center that we finished in the Spring of 2021.
Again, thank you, and we look forward to collaborating with you again very soon."
-Kevin Cox, Director, Information Technology

"Edward and Anthony did an excellent job in these areas, to name a few highlights:
- Edward put together drawings to define the main and diverse routes between phase 1 buildings very quickly as a first work assignment related to this project.
- Edward worked with his crew to find the manhole below ground between the AT&T manhole at Center street near MDF that was a foot underground, saving cost and time.
- Edward is working quickly to get routes and distances for the AT&T WAN runs from the fence line to OLOB and SCCR for Anthony to give us a labor estimate in a week.
- Along with this work, Edward is also getting the best fiber routes for some phase 2 additional work to give to Anthony for the estimates so that this fiber can be ordered before the end of August.
Super work right out of the box with the ink barely dry on our contract."
-Frank Rab, PMP, CSM, DS Senior Project Manager

Ways to Minimize Subcontractor Default Risks
|
Construction projects typically involve contractors enlisting the help of subcontractors to conduct specialized tasks on-site (e.g., electrical, plumbing and ventilation work). While working with these professionals can allow projects to be completed more efficiently, the use of subcontractors also carries various exposures.
